WELLContest Team from Helsinki School of Economics
Helsinki School of Economics wins WELLcontest 2007
After 48 hours of concentrated case work and a very close run-up in the finals, four female students from Helsinki School of Economics take home the victory in the finals of WELLcontest 2007 held at CBS on Friday 20 April.
”The winning team has come up with an extremely structured, original and operational solution to the case and we would like to give our congratulations to: Helsinki School of Economics!”

- It was not an easy task for Grundfos Group Vice President Niels Møller Jensen and the rest of the jury to name a winner at the WELLcontest 2007 finals on Friday 20 April. Out of eight case solutions, three teams, China Europe International Business School (Shanghai), Helsinki School of Economics and Copenhagen Business School, were asked to present their solutions to the case, which was to work out a future strategy for Grundfos’ responsible supply chain management in China.

All three teams were complemented by the jury on their understanding of the challenges of Grundfos, their theoretical knowledge of CSR and their ability to convert this knowledge into workable and visionary suggestions to the case. The winning team from Finland had come up with a solution as to how Grundfos could create and implement a Code of Conduct among its suppliers and sub-suppliers in China.

The finals were the culmination of the WELLcontest week at CBS which involved a range of activities focused on Corporate Social Responsibility. The week was made possible through the help of our corporate sponsors, Grundfos, Novozymes, Shell and LEGO.

WELL would like to thank the eight participating teams, our corporate sponsors as well as all the people that joined our seminars and events and made this week a reality. We look forward to seeing you again for WELLcontest 2008!
